Country House, Gifford

The brief was to create an informal family home. The property is South-facing and, although built in the 1950s, was designed in the Georgian style with lovely large windows which perfectly maximise the natural light. The aim was to create a ‘lived in’ look where everyone could feel comfortable and relaxed and that didn’t appear ‘interior designed’. Structurally the house didn’t require any immediate work so the changes were purely aesthetic. Lighting was improved where it was possible and soft colours were used throughout with pops of colour appearing in places to create a harmonious flow.
